Dear Road Church Friends,

The season of Lent is about being more like Jesus. He is no longer among us as he was in the days of his incarnation. We are now called to be his body. Our task is to be the presence of Jesus in the world. What an honor! We are his heart, his head, his hands his feet to do what he asks us to do Jesus will not do what he expects us to do. If we don’t, who will?

It’s vital that we as members of the body of Christ in our local community work harmoniously together to win the world to Christ. Love for God and one another will enable us to be what God wants us to be.

SERMON: “Love Makes the World Go Round”

SCRIPTURE: 1 Corinthians 12:14-19, 21, 24-27, 31

The human body is one complex thing consisting of many different parts. If the foot says, “I am not a part of the body because I am not a hand,” that does not make it any less a part of the body. And if the ear says, “I am not part of the body because I am not an eye,” that does not make it any less a part of the body! If the whole body were an eye, how would you hear? Or if your whole body were an ear, how would you smell anything? God has put each of you in the church just where he wants you to be. None of you can say to the others, “I don’t need you.” So, God has put the body of Christ together such that each member has their own honor and dignity. This makes for harmony so that all the members care for each other. Now I will show you the way that Love makes all of this possible.

Blessings to you all,

Pastor Norm
