Dear Road Church Friends,

Our first snowstorm of the season arrives Saturday afternoon and continues through Sunday afternoon. The amount of snowfall will vary from area to area. We leave it to each of you to decide whether you will venture out of your homes. For those of you who do venture out, I plan to be at the church at 10 am to lead a brief service of prayer, praise and Communion.

THOUGHT FOR A NEW YEAR

I leave tarnished sorrow, , doubt,

Old worry, prejudice, defeat and fear

Heaped like a cast off weary load outside

The shining portal of another year.

Untraveled hills and valleys gleam beyond

That wayfarers attain with mounting zest.

Who bears no useless burden from the past

Will find the miles ahead are best.
