Dear Road Church Friends,

Sunday we will hear a report from Haitian Health Foundation by E. Marilyn Lowney. Road Church has supported the work of HHF for many years. Haiti is one of the neediest countries in the world, and presently its difficult situation has worsened due to the collapse of its government. Nevertheless, the good work of HHF continues. Marilyn will share how they are meeting the challenges of this tragic situation.

We will have a social time in the parlor as an opportunity for questions and answers as a follow up to her report.

Prior to Marilyn’s presentation I will briefly share my thoughts on the question: How big is God,” based on Paul’s prayer: I pray that you may be able to comprehend how wide and long and high and deep the love of God is. Come join us and be blessed. 

SERMON:  Filled with the Fullness of God 

SCRIPTURES:  Ephesians 3:14-21

I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth takes its name. I pray that, according to the riches of his glory, he may grant that you may be strengthened in your inner being with power through his Spirit, and that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith, as you are being rooted and grounded in love.

I pray that you may have the power to comprehend, with all the saints, what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, so that you may be filled with all the fullness of God. Now to him who by the power at work within us is able to accomplish abundantly far more than all we can ask or imagine, to him be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever.

I rest my weary soul in thee;

I give thee back the life I owe,

That in thine ocean depth its flow

May richer, fuller be.
