Dear Road Church Friends,

Jesus’ teaching, which he describes as the light and gentle yoke he puts upon us, has been neatly summarized as the Great Commandment to love God with all our heart, and our neighbors as ourselves; the Great Commission to make disciples of all nations; and the Great Invitation, that all who are weighed down and weary will come to him, he will give them rest. Gather with us on this Communion Sunday when we will think about the Great Invitation, and how we as Jesus’ disciples might deliver on Jesus’ promise to our neighbors and friends.

     SCRIPTURE: Matthew 11:28-30       SERMON: “A Place for Everyone”

Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary. Lay your burdens down, and I will give you rest. Let me teach you humility and gentleness of heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.”

I SOUGHT MY SOUL

I sought my soul,

But my soul I could not see.

I sought my God,

But my God eluded me.

I sought my brother,

And I found all three.
