Dear Road Church Friends,

Tomorrow’s message is about the mother of one of the greatest saints in the history of the early church. As a young man he broke his mother’s heart and put her through many trials and caused her to shed many tears. But her persistent love and prayers prevailed in the end. This mother’s love overcame all the obstacles to faith and ultimate sainthood. She too is honored as the saint of the mothers of wayward children. Gather with us and hear her story.

SCRIPTURE: Ruth 1:15-17              SERMON:   A Mother’s Love 

    Naomi said to Ruth, “Your sister-in-law has gone back to her people and her god. You should go with her!” But Ruth said, “Do not press me to go back and abandon you! Wherever you go I will go, wherever you lodge I will lodge. Your people shall be my people and your God, my God. Where you die I will die, and there be buried.

THANKS TO GOD FOR ALL THE AMAZING WOMEN IN OUR LIVES! 

Thank you Lord, for our mothers. We remember their loving care, their ceaseless love for us. May we show them by our gifts, our words and our actions that we love them and care about them too. And, we are thankful for our church family.

Thank you for those who are our spiritual mothers within our Christian family. May they be richly blessed even as they bless others by their countless acts of kindness. Amen.
