MISSION SUNDAY special guest speakers representing Operation Fresh Start-New Beginnings,The Westerly "Warm Center" and  the Haitian Health Foundation were as follows:

Operation Fresh Start – New Beginnings. Shannon DePerry, of Stonington, founded and still directs this non-profit program which serves greater New London County. The mission is to assist families in general and especially with children in crisis. They provide household items, backpacks full of necessary items for children in school, toys for the holidays, as well as general support to families needing that special helping hand. 

OPERATION FRESH START INC: NEW BEGINNINGS - Home

Warm Center in Westerly. The Warm Center provides three meals a day to the homeless and needy in our greater community. The Road Church makes/provides one meal a month to serve 50 people in addition to shopping for much needed personal clothing for their clients. Mojie Stahl of Westerly, told their story.

Haitian Health Foundation. Founded in 1982 by Dr. Jeremiah Lowney, a Norwich Dentist, the mission of the Haitian Health Foundation is to improve the health and well-being of women, children, families and communities in Haiti through healthcare, education and community development. Bob Elmer, of Stonington, told part of their story. Mark your calendars for Sunday, JULY 14th - Marilyn Lowney MS, MPH Executive Director - will be in our pulpit to speak further on their mission in Haiti.
